US Ambassador holds talks with Home Minister Amit Shah

The meeting came on the heels of backlash stemming from Eric Garcetti's comments on the situation of violence in Manipur.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah held talks with U.S. envoy to India, Eric Garcetti on July 11 to discuss “building upon the positive outcomes” that resulted from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s four-day visit to the U.S. in June 2023. According to the Minister's office, they spoke about advancing cooperation between both nations in counter-terrorism, drug trafficking and security domains.
